Ben Thompson
Ben has extensive experience in strategy, growth and high-performance operating models, in both consulting and executive roles. He has worked across information technology, financial services, private equity, healthcare, gambling, manufacturing, mining, engineering, logistics and education, principally in Australia and the United States, with further experience across South-East Asia and New Zealand.
Originally a mathematician, Ben began his corporate career in software, creating the market-leading parking management system and becoming head of development at a dot-com specialising in contact centre systems. He graduated top of his class with an MBA from Melbourne Business School and joined Boston Consulting Group, then moved to Tabcorp as head of strategy before returning to consulting. He was most recently a Senior Partner at Partners in Performance, an Australian boutique strategy and operations consulting firm.
Ben is married with three grown-up children. He is a keen bridge player, holds the title of International Master and is First Vice President of the World Bridge Federation. One skill he uses in both bridge and consulting is driving for strong, realistic outcomes in the face of great uncertainty.
